A great exploration of belief systems regarding laws and equity in justice. Challenges one to examine one's own belief systems as they relate to following through on consequences for infractions of the law. Insight into the evolution of modern legal systems.
Historical mystery with knights and tournaments, lots of info

There are many different characters and complications in this tale. Notwithstanding, it is one of the best medieval mysteries in Michael Jeck's West Country/Templar series.
Great book!
Jecks wrote a very descriptive setting of a medieval castle and tournament for this 'who donut' multiple murder mystery. Including the medieval theme/train of thought in the end to explain the murders. Very interesting book and I would love to read the rest of his series of books.
Adult reading - very bloody story.
