Gillian is from a long line of healers and living in a cottage far from anyone with the exception of her brother who is a dwarf and feared by the locals..she saves the life of a doctor that shows up on her doorstep almost dead and her whole life turns around as she becomes known and the people(one family)who feel that her Father killed their Father is out to get her...a very good book and not the usual story.
