This is the first book I have read by Byrd. It reminds me a lot of Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underword and Keri Arthur's Riley Jansen series. There is some humour between the characters and the side characters definitely spark an interest. I look forward to finding more out about them in future books. There is a lot of groups to read about and it can be overwhelming, but she does explain who everyone is plus there is a handy dandy glossary in the book.
Like Showalter's series, it is more about the two main characters overcoming their issues to be together rather than the bigger plot of fighting among the different groups.
There are not a lot of sex scenes but for what there are, they are towards the explicit side. There is also some harsh language so if you are into flowery romances, this isn't for you. Otherwise it is a easy, enjoyable read and I can't wait to find more books by her.

A great author.Loved her Seduction series.. Another great series by her is the wolf series.Well worth your reading time..
This book is much more about Aiden than the battle with the Casus. There are some new enemies that are introduced in this installment, but for the most part it is about one woman taming a tiger. I really enjoyed this story, this series comes in short 2-3 books batches at a time, not fast enough for me. But i patiently wait for the next one.
