I liked this book. I thought it was hard to get into in the beginning. I had a difficult time keeping the characters straight to begin with. And I ended up putting the book down two or three times before I got into it. But once I got to the middle it really moved along and I thought the ending was very satisfying.
I could not figure this one out until right at the end. You never know with Baldacci.
Great book with many twists and turns!
Typically Baldacci! Grabs you on the first page and holds you captive til you finish it.
A little slow moving compared to other Baldacci books I've read.
When Baldacci "gets it right", he really does (and he does in this one!). The characters are full of life, literally jumping off the page; don't lose track though, because there are lots of them. The story is riveting and fast paced; the ending sneaks up on you. All in all, a very good, page turning read!
Great book with a surprise ending!
Suspence at it's best. You just can't beat a Baldacci novel!
A GOOD THRILLER. LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE RUN OF THE MILL. BALDACCI IS ALWAYS GOOD.
A reprint of one of Baldacci's earlier novels. I liked it, but I think I like his more recent works better. This one involves 2 major technology companies bidding to purchase another tech company that has developed something that will make the Internet obsolete. Man at one bidding company is married to a lawyer at a firm with other lawyers representing bidding company 2. Story also involves Federal Reserve Bank officers, FBI agents, hired killers, kidnappers, evil geniuses, etc., etc. I had to make up a list of characters and their relationships, which helped, and I enjoyed the story, but it seemed more complicated than it needed to be. Oh, and did I mention the plane crash?
