This book was a pleasant surprise. The cover doesn't exactly grab your attention - as in nothing says hot romance less than poorly drawn generic people, swarming bees, and a giant tortoise! Not to mention the fact that the title (dancing turtles, be still my heart!) isn't all that appealing. The good news is that all of that is worth looking beyond. The hero is a wonderful, protective, hot alpha male with a sense of humor, while the heroine is a feisty, seemingly cursed with bad luck heroine that likes to spar with him on their way to a HEA. Mind you, the sparring isn't of the slice and dice type and had me laughing out loud at times. For me, this book had it all...a hot alpha male (ex SEAL no less), a spirited/smart heroine, a bit of danger, humor, and some decidedely hot scenes. It's a keeper!
