This is an interesting book filled with popular fast food recipes, such as KFC chicken and cole slaw, Twinkies, Dairy Queen's Blizzard, the Big Mac, Mounds & Almond Joy, Snickers, & Long John Silver's batter-dipped fish. I found it eye-opening to see what was in some of my favorite take out foods, but I don't feel the need to make any of them myself. After all, if I want a Snickers, it's a lot easier to buy one for .60 than to make one. Still, if you're wondering "how do they make that", the diagrams and recipes are worth a read. Don't be surprised though if you find yourself not wanting to eat as much of some of these take-out favorites after you see how bad they are for you.

Awsome! If you're trying to eat healthy, like me, you can tweak the recipes with healthier ingredients as I have, and get that junk food taste, or make fastfood healthy. I personally stayed away from the fried stuff.

Tastes Like the Real Thing - Sara Lee Cheesecake, Wendy's Chili, Ben and Jerry's Heath Bar Crunch Ice Cream, McDonald's Big Mac.... These are foods that feed the soul, and now you can duplicate their incomparable tastes, laden with memories and satisfaction - but without dyes, preservatives and fillers - right in your own kitchen. This is the cookbook to satisfy all your cravings.

This book deals primarily with recipes from fast food outlets. I was anticipating that it would be chain restaurant oriented rather that fast food focused. I really don't need to know how to make a quarter pounder or a double double from IN and OUT.
This might be a good book for teenagers, but it is a poor choice for an adult looking to duplicate their favorite recipes.

have a couple of Todd Wilbur's copy cat cookbooks. Some of the recipes, I would never use like how to make candy bars or McDonald's Big Macs but the recipes I do use are pretty darned close to the originals.
