This author doesn't use a lot of clues. At the end of every book in this series, when the killer is giving him/her self up, things are revealed that weren't in the plot. I enjoy a few good clues thrown in, and being able to mull them over and try to figure out the mystery. Also, as the series moves on, it moves away from the vineyard. There's little talk of the vineyard at all, almost all scenes are inside a building with barely a reference to the surroundings. All the same, I like these characters, so I keep coming back, and will continue to do so. I appreciate a smart female lead, who gets the respect she deserves.
Great little wine mystery with unique recipes included. A very typical cozy mystery-type scenario and a happy ending. Enjoyable and fun, which is why I read these things.
