Real events set the scene for this fictitious murder mystery. Loads of historical detail, strong characterizations.

This novel got me really interested in Jacques Futrelle, the mystery author depicted as the protagonist. Unfortunately, none of his many works are currently posted on the PBS site.

I also felt that this story was one of the better ones in this series.
