This book contains 3 separate cases of Timothy Cone, a "Wall Street Dick" whose girlfriend is his Supervisor at Haldering and Company, a business that investigates the High-Stakes background checks of High Investment.
I enjoyed this book. This is the first book I've read where the Investigator frequently uses his revolver and manages to stay on fairly good terms with NY law enforcement. Tim lives on lots of booze, cigarettes, and bad food and chooses to live in a shabby loft with his cat, Cleo.
