Time Windows
Author: Kathryn Reiss
When Miranda moves with her family to a new house in a small Massachusetts town, she discovers a mysterious antique--a dollhouse. Through the windows, she is shocked to find what seem to be living people in the tiny rooms, and gradually she realizes that scenes from the lives of the big house’s past inhabitants are being replayed there.

I read this book years ago and remembered how much I enjoyed it. I was so excited to find three of Kathryn Reiss's books all here on PBS! I just finished reading Time Windows for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed it. While I remembered some of what was going to happen which eliminated some of the surprise element, I still believe it to be an incredibly creative & intriguing tale. It has all the elements which I loved as a kid and still enjoy today: old houses, doll houses, time travel, ghosts, emotional trials, etc. etc. Highly suggested for young teen, teen, and adults alike! I might hold on to this one in case I want to read it again in another 10 years :)
