Shimmering with the eroticism that marks all the Drakon universe entries, this tale of a time-traveling girl and her attempts to avert a bloody end to the remaining members of her race, is a worthy companion to the other tales. Abe loses points for never really clarifying the enmity between the two surviving Drakon clans, but that's a flaw that runs through the entire series. It's still a fine read.

Who can resist a time-traveling heroine desperate to save her world? It is well written and a real page turner. It's not your average romance novel or a happy romance. It is a unique story with many surprises.

My opposition to this story is just my dis-satisfaction with "my" characters' dilemmas. The characters have choices to make instead of orders to follow. I found this story to have very dark undertones.

Abe's storytelling ability is definitly still present and many readers may really like this, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

If they find one another in their own time, they risk everything.

Honor Carlisle is drakon`, a dragon. The females of her clan do not have the ability to shapeshift into dragon form, but the men do. In fact, the women usually don't have any gifts at all. However, Honor does and it is a well-kept secret. She has the very rare gift of time weaving, able to move back and forth through time.

Another member of the drakon`, Lady Lia, has the ability to see the future, and she has seen what happens in Honor's future. To try and change the visions, she has her husband kidnap Honor. She explains to Honor that if she were to stay in Darkfith', the town of the drakon`, she would surely perish.

Honor finds letters to herself over the next few years from the future, telling her what she should and shouldn't do, in hopes of changing the future or making it better. Honor keeps finding herself weaving to Sandu, a drakon` Prince in the Zaharen Mountains. Sandu only has meer glimpses and few words with Honor over the years as she appears and disappears, but he has his own gifts and knows she is the other half of his heart.

Honor beseeches Sandu to find her in their natural time so they may be together. But Lady Lia's visions have changed. If Sandu and Honor surrender to their passions, not only Honor will die, but all of the drakon` and the human race will as well. Honor and Sandu will have to place their faith, trust, and love in magic to maintain or restore the drakon' race.

THE TIME WEAVER is another magnificent tale from master storyteller Shana Abe`. Her world-building is remarkable and her characters are a breath of fresh air. Romance and suspense against a richly painted backdrop of dragons and breathtaking landscapes, THE TIME WEAVER is phenomenal. Fantasy and paranormal lovers will enjoy this one!
