I was not at all happy with this book. All I wanted to do was offer Ren, the star of the book, some cheese to go with his whine. It was constant through the whole book about his horrible childhood. Everybody picked on him; his father, his brother, and everyone he ever met. Until he met Teri, the love of his 11,000 plus years. I really thought I would vomit if she called him 'sweetie' or 'baby' one more time.
As far as action, there was very little; most of it was in the last chapter.
I couldn't keep up with the names or the back stories. My brain can't handle that much information, especially when I started out knowing nothing of the culture.
The epilouge was really good and very sweet, but it jumped pretty far into the future. Needless to say I became confused quite often, and did lots of skimming.
