We purchased this book for a homeschooling resource book. Me and my children liked the book. It is well written and very interesting. We especially liked it because there are lots colorful illustrations on each page that not only tell about subject but also have detailed pictures where you can see what they are explaining. It does a great job of showing every aspect life during that time. It helps the children learn and retain with all the visuals to refer to. A good book!
