
I did OK when he was talking about the actual time periods (Permian, Triassic) and the fossils he found. I found his stories of his expeditions not very interesting, even though he seemed to think so. I guess you could argue that he is showing us what paleontaligical field work is like, but I really didn't need his opinion of the first time he ate in Tucson.

The science part( mainly early mammals) is interesting, the travelogue and biography parts, he tries too hard to make exciting.
