This book became a bit redundant and I found that I would skip thru the advice, and just get to what was happening in the character's life. Worth the few hours I invested in it, barely.

Mildly entertaining, but a bad rip off of Randy Pauch's Last Lecture.

I expected this to be a sad book about a girl who looses her father. I was pleasantly surpised. The story begins when the girl is 12 and her mother is getting remarried. Her aunt gives her a "manuel" written by her father who died when she was 5. Every year on her birthday, she is supposed to read the manual to discover what advice her father has for her. The story follows the girl as she grows up and her father's advice proves to be helpful. The ending is predictable, but overall, I enjoyed the story.
I completely enjoyed this little gem of a book. It is a quick easy read. I love that the advice is from a father to a daughter after the father's death.
