A slim little volume, handy for slipping into your bag and reading on the go.
classic book, daughter read for class work
My favorite by H.G. Wells
This book is very similiar in style to the Great Illustrated Classics books for children.
A good book in a really durable permabound cover, so it lasts forever.
Classic sci fi
"A world divided into ELOI--gentle, helpless surface dwellers who live to nibble sweet fruits and play silly games; and MORLOCKS--gruesome monsters who only leave their vast underground machines to terrorize the night...The Traveller first believes the Eloi rule the Morlocks; then he suspects the Morlocks command; until an awful discovery leads to the hideous truth:
The man from the past is the only human on Earth--And the real horror of the far future is just beginning...
The man from the past is the only human on Earth--And the real horror of the far future is just beginning...
always the one and only H.G. Wells. needs no further introduction.
Timeless! And if you can, see the 1960 movie starring Rod Taylor (also starring Alan Young, best known as Wilbur in the classic "Mr. Ed"). It is one of the better movie adaptions of a classic novel.
Great story. Wells is so underrated.
This is a classic of early science fiction. There are as many implications of commentary about society as there are pure SF elements.
This is one of the best classical works! H. G. Wells has a wonderful way of telling stories. This book is a fast read based on science of the future and where that can, or will, lead human-kind. Which branch of fellow man will you choose? Will you go with the fun, carefree and loving Eloi, or will you become a cannibalistic creature of the dark like the Morelocks? Just a fantastic read!
Great book where H.G. Wells constructs a time machine and relates his adventures in the past and future.
A classic HG Wells piece. Read it now!
Treasury of Illustrated Classics
This 1895 classic is still a classic to me. This is a version meant for readers 12 and up.
The Time Traveler has ridden his machine hundreds of years into the future. Buildings, cities, and civilizations rise and fall before his eyes. He is welcomed to 802701 by the frail and simple Eloi. The future seems safe--until the Time Traveler encounters the shadowy, carnivorous Morlocks, inhabitants of the Underworld. The Morlocks terrorize the Eloi, hunt the Time Traveler, and capture the Time Machine. Can the Time Traveler escape the future with his Time Machine...and his life?
This popular classic comes with beautiful illustrations and a note about the author on the last page.
Good reading
A little thick with the social allegory, but an entertaining read.
Classic Science Fiction At Its Best!

The classic; brand new.
Memorable little book. A man travels ahead in his machine to a world now occupied by two beings.
About a young scientist that travels in time and with proof that he traveled in time.
1980 edition
Never read.
