TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE is the story of Lazarus Long, the 'Senior' of the Howard Families, about whom Heinlein has written almost as long as science fiction has been interesting.
I envy anyone who hasn't read TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE, because you can start to do so now, and I've already finished!
Classic Heinlein--not a juvenile book.

The capstone and crowning achievement of Heinlein's famous Future History, TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE, follows Lazarus Long through a vast and magnificent timescape of centuries and worlds. Heinlein's longest and most ambitious work. It is the story of a man so in love with Life that he refused to stop living it; and so in love with Time that he bacame his own ancestor.
This is a lengthy, well-constructed work of genious. In Heinlein fashion, the author does not use fictional license to just "make things happen", but reasons things out and explains so as to make them actually plausible . . . at least as best as an author can do with issues such as time travel, tele-transportation, etc.
THE must-read Heinlein - a classic!
A great effort by Heinlein, "Time Enough For Love" is a great story that a lot of people could enjoy, not just Science-Fiction fans.
Heinlein won four separate Hugo Awards, and TIME ENOUGH FOR LOVE does not disappoint!
What would you do with your life if you could live as long as you wanted, thousands of years of life, active and in good health? Would you find yourself a nice comfortable niche and just stay there safely?
Or would you 'go for the gusto' and take life in big, big bites?
Lazarus Long, aka Woodrow Wilson Smith, aka the banker Ernest Gibbons, aka spaceship Captain Aaron Sheffield, aka brothel entertainer Happy Daze, aka His Serenity Seraphin the Younger Supreme High Priest of the One God in All His Aspects, aka Proscribed Prisoner No. 83M2742, aka Mr. Justice Lenox, aka Corporal Ted Bronson, aka Doctor Lafe Hubert--and also known by many other names--decided on the second course.
