A very interesting read for today's marriages. A good book to consider if your marriage seems a little stale.

John and Abby Reynolds were the perfect married couple. John is on the verge of having an affair. They gather their three children to announce their separation when their daughter announces her wedding plans for the summer. Is their decision irreversible? Is their marriage truly beyond repair?

A beautiful love story. Down to earth and endearing. It will suck you in, have you laughing and crying and pondering and rooting for the ending you hope comes. So well written by a fantastic author whom i always enjoy. A novel i'd read over and over and never hesitate to recommend. If you have never read Ms Kingsbury's novels, try just one, they are not preachy and totally gratifing. So pour come coffee, claim the most comfy chair, grab some kleenex and prepare to be swept away for awhile. It's wonderful.

I absolutely loved this book so much that I had to get the second one. I loved the very real way life was portrayed in this book and how easy it is to let our minds jump to conclusions, not see answers in front of us, and think God is not listening.

An amazing story of how marriage is not always easy, even for a Christian couple. I could barely lay this book down, the story was so captivating. Can't wait to read the sequel now!

I read this in two days and found impossible to put down. The asides that serve as the silent thoughts of the characters really add depth and insight to the characters and their actions. Great story with a happy ending.

Great book, and "Godly" timing for me to read. I felt the author was telling "my story". This book may have just saved my marriage.

This is a story of hope when things seem hopeless. Read proverbs chapter 2 and see what happens when we seek wisdom...or not. God is faithful! Karen Kingsbury is a writer who writes with purpose and I appreciate her books very much.

Though this book was too drawn out, however, the lesson presented about marriage and the eagles was worth the read! I skimmed and even skipped pages, but will always remember the lessons about the eagles. Hmmmm....perhaps I should research eagles - they are a great example of marriage and commitment. Perhaps, if more couples were aware of this information, we, too, could soar like the eagles in our own marriages.

I read a few chapters and found myself exceedingly annoyed at the wife and husband for their lack of communication and total self-centeredness! Could not bring myself to continue reading even though this was my Chicklits Book Club selection for April!
