Fascinating and horrifying all at the same time. Amazingly written.

An interesting book about a serial killer stalking a tiny village in the farthest corner of Siberia. That the killer is a very large tiger just makes this book more appealing, in my opinion. I haven't read Moby Dick, but I imagine this book would be comparable, as the author deftly weaves his story around historical tidbits of Russia and Siberia, zoological info about tigers, and life in this tiny town. This is a book that will keep you at the edge of your seat while simultaneously making an impassioned plea for wildlife conservation efforts.
