I just love this story. It is one of those books that "calls" to me, and I have to dig it out, and re-read it once again.
I adore the hero, he is definitly a great guy, and the traumatized woman who becomes involved with him is nurtured back from a painful and confidence destroying divorce. Now that he has found her,the woman he has been searching for, he swears never to let her go, and he keeps his word as he tries to gently woo the woman he loves from her shell. Karen's lack of self esteem and self worth keeps causing her to pull away from admitting her love for him, fearing being hurt yet again. The story is filled with passion, adventure, and is full of surprises. I still shed tears, laugh, and fall in love all over again each time I read this story.

Caren Blakemore was running from a painful divorce and a high-pressure Washington job. Derek Allen was hiding out from the scandal-hungry press. Throughout Jamaican days and nights, they shared half-truths and careless passion...Then it ended and Caren learned the price. She had been drawn into Derek's secret life and international headlines. Heading for public disgrace, she was left with only one way out.
