I'm one of those people who is guilty of reading the last couple of pages right away. Didn't work for me this time. I was totally caught off guard by the way this one ended!

Claire's teenaged daughter, Who Talks in Capitals, and her mousy friend Inez are working at a lakeside bird sanctuary to earn money for driver education classes. Claire is busy as well; she's trying to help her best friend figure out if her new love--who just happens to have a cottage at said lake-- is really a serial wife killer. The plot rocks along and, in a nice touch of poetic justice, ends with a bang.
