I adore Danielle Steel, and Thurston House is one of my favorites by this amazing author. She is always at the top of her art, and Thurston House is very touching and poignant. Ms. Steel's fans will not be disappointed with this moving tale.
Another great book from a legendary romance author.
I loved the story line in this book.
I read this book several years ago, and I still recall the ending. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story.
This was such a good book, I could not put it down. This is the first book I have read by Danielle Steel but I will definatley read more of her books.
FROM THE PUBLISHER
Jeremiah Thurston built Thurston House, San Francisco's grandest mansion. When he found himself alone with his infant daughter, Sabrina, he was determined to bring her up to run the biggest mining business in California. Nothing would stop her from taking over his dynasty not the San Francisco earthquake, the deadly schemes of a cunning rival, the Great depression, or her own needs and determination as she carries on the traditions established by her father.

Poem from inside book:
The House:
Who lived here before I came,
who lived
in this room, how did it look, was it the same?
Was there a girl
or two,
a little boy,
a house fileld with toys, with joys, with dreams...
or was it just
a lonely place
with empty beds and silent rooms,
was it always filled with gloom,
and did the house long to be loved?
Was there a girl who danced and sang,
a dinner bell
that chimed or rang,
and did anyone ever stand right here As I do now?
