Encounter in the night

All Conner Thunder wanted was to be alone, yet he couldn't ignore the cries of a woman in the woods near his cabin. The stranger with hair as pale as moonlight and secrets in her eyes needed a shoulder to cry on, but after a kiss meant to soothe turned passionate, she was gone.

Mattie Russell had heard about Conner, but they'd never met before the night by the lake, when the grief over her sister's senseless death overwhelmed her. Mattie steered clear of relationships, but the appeal of the brooding Native American was stronger than her determination to stay single.

Could Mattie be the one woman to bring Conner peace...and could he teach her to trust in love?
