I enjoyed this book, but am not sure I would have had I not been aware that it was an homage to Sense and Sensibility. I was able to recognize the characters only because I was "in the know", and wonder if I'd have given it a second look if I hadn't been.

The modern twists were interesting, and I must say I did like the different ending.

This book was depressing and boring.

Joseph Weissman is divorcing his wife of 48 years. His wife Betty and her 2 daughters regroup at a beach cottage in Westport Connecticut. Its a different lifestyle at the cottage than living off Central Park in the City. Everyone has issues to deal with. But hopefully everyone appreciates what all has done for them.

I started to read this book on an e-reader at Best Buy when my mom was shopping for a computer and it was so good I had to get a copy. I was not disappointed.

I really enjoyed the story, I laughed and I cried and was sad to see it end. It portrayed the relationships between the mom and daughters and well as between the sister very authentically.
