I used to try to read this book to my kid. I really did. But I could not manage to get through it without breaking into throat-aching laughter. Teary laughter. Uncontrollable laughter. Whether it was the text, or the images on the page, or the images that the text called up in my brain, or just the brilliant inanity of what was being told, I could not help myself.
This is certainly not just a book for kids. In fact, in some ways it's going to be above kids' heads, but for anyone, most especially a parent who's read the original to their child in the past, this book is priceless.
Set your kid on the couch next to you. Open the book. Begin to read. Try not to laugh. I dare you.

This is a twist on the popular story of the three pigs and the big bad wolf! Very imaginative plot with a cute ending. A great book.

I agree the illustrations really help make this a wonderful story. Pay attention to the tea pot.
