This was a Woods' book that I couldn't put down. I read too late into the night just to finish, and then regretted the decision as I didn't have the next book in the series to begin ASAP!
Exerpt from Sherryl Woods' letter to readers:
"All of us have someplace in our lives that we remember fondly. Sometimes it's only nostalgia that colors a perfectly ordinary place and lifts it into a special place in our hearts. Sometimes it's a place that truly was magical during our childhoods. For me that was always the family cottage by the Potomac River."

When you need a pick me up and just lay back and enjoy. This is a series worth reading. Don't expect a paranormal bend. However, please read this and the rest of the series.

Melanie D'Angelo ran away from home to Rose Cottage, a place she and her sisters had always considered magical. The Cottage had been neglected since their grandmother's death and there was little left of the rose garden. Mike was a landscape designer whose only intention was to put the gardens at Rose Cottage back the way they should be. He did not intend to fall in love with the beautiful Melanie. He couldn't fall in love, not with his daughter as fragile as she was, not with his own sense of failure and betrayal. Melanie couldn't fall in love, either. Men weren't trustworthy and she wasn't trustworthy in picking out a good one. Can these two goofy kids get it together? Of course they can--this is a romance.
Good read. I'm reading all four of them eventually.

Outraged to discover that her boyfriend is married, receptionist Melanie D'Angelo leaves him and quits her job to spend some time alone refurbishing her grandmother's long-neglected cottage. Then landscaper Stefan "Mike" Mikelewski offers his help with the garden. Melanie gratefully accepts, but that's all she wants from him. Mike's equally happy to have Melanie's assistance with his troubled daughter and to keep things light. Naturally, the prospect of Three Down the Aisle (3) is daunting. Light on plot, book one of Sherryl Woods' Rose Cottage Sisters gets by on the chemistry between Mike and Melanie and the drama of his daughter's problems.
