I really liked this retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Appropriate for ages 9-12, I enjoyed it so much as an adult that I'm going to keep my copy to read again some day.

Although the book is not set in Ireland, the story line is heavily twined with Irish folklore: the fey (spelled faie in this book) and the world of fairie, which overlaps the world of mortals, the Wild Hunt, the Queen of the Fairie, etc. It also touches on Arthurian legand and the story of Percival. There are plenty of twists and turns in the plot, and while we all know how Sleeping Beauty ends, we never imagined it to end exactly like this. I recommend for fantasy lovers of all ages.
