From time to time, I enjoy a graphic novel to change up my reading life. If my comic-book-loving husband hadn't introduced me to them years ago, I'm not sure when/if I would've discovered them on my own.
In Thirsty Memaids by Kat Leyh, three "non-Disney" mermaids use magic to become humans for a single night of partying but then lose the ability to break the spell. Their efforts to acclimate to life on land is hilarious, and their yearning to return to their true selves is emotional.
