I would suggest reading these books in proper order just to understand and appreciate the dynamics of each character and their interaction with each other. Lisa Gardner is a fantastic author. She gets you hooked from page one to the end of the book. The characters are easy to relate to and the story is realistic. The Third Victim is part of her Rainie and Quincy series. Great Read!!

This book is a page-turner from the get go. Lisa Gardner is my absolute favorite author. The book is suspensful and sad since it deals with school shootings and the aftermath. And it also touches on the feelings of parents whose child becomes a murderer.

When it comes to suspense this book fulfilled that requirement without a doubt. I could not put this book down until I knew the outcome.
This was a slow moving thriller. It took me longer than usual to get through it, it really didn't pick up until about 250 pages.

it was a good book, a quick and easy read. I've read all of her books thus far and the plots have started blending into each other. This one is the beginning of the Piercy/Rainie story.

This is a Rainie Conner book. It is very good. A boy is accused in a school mass killing. Once in awhile it seems to slow down but then picks back up.

This is Rainies first homicide investigation and she vows not to give up until she has her man. With the help of Pierce Quincy she goes after the killer but what he really wants is Rainie!

I enjoyed this 2nd book in the FBI Profiler series more than the first one. The characters were more believable and more likeable. It was dark, however, due to the subject matter (school shooting)...but overall, a great read.

FBI profiler Pierce Quincy has been researching school shootings, and he and Rainie determine that the case is not as cut and dry as it at first seems.
Unlike the first book in the series (The Perfect Husband), this book reads more like a mystery than a thriller. Though there is however plenty of suspense and action, much time is spent introducing Quincy and Rainie and telling their backstories. I found the ending somewhat disappointing in that it seemed like the connections between the primary school shooting story and Rainie's background were somewhat forced, but ultimately the characters are interesting enough to make this a worthwhile read. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series.

great suspense
Lisa Gardner's books and characters are always suspenseful and surprising. I like series and how the characters relate to each other.
This is a real page turner-from start to finish. I grabs ahold and is hard to put down. Riveting. One of the best she has written.
Police officer Conner is the object of a criminal's obsession. This was a book with a couple of twists and turns.
I ended up finishing this book in one sitting - I could not put the book down. The blurb only tells you the story line, not how well the author tells it.
