I gotta say, I'm glad I didn't read the rating before starting this book-- or I probably would not have. I really enjoyed this book. It isn't really "about" anything in particular. It felt to me like I was listening to someone tell me a story about their life. I just enjoyed the story. A great book for in-between reads. (as a tv example: I love CSI and SVU ....but every once in a while I need a little Little House on the Prarie to smile and enjoy!)

What a lovely surprise this little novel was! A mixture of Christian ideals, teen-age rebellion, love story, dark secrets and surprising revelations, all written in gentle and descriptive, but not sappy or cloying, prose. Makes for a pleasant day or week-end of reading...a feel-good story for sure!
