a lot of good tips - but really I already knew them.
I loved this book - it motivated me because it explained what actually happens to my body when I eat certain foods. It totally made sense, and I now feel physically ill when I eat white bread/sugar (though I love them). I recommend it to anyone, even those approaching 40.
This was common sense. Drink 8 glasses of water. Become active. Eat more fruits and vegetables. The 12-points were repeated ad nauseum every chapter. But it didn't answer the question why age 40 is the big number when it comes to weight gain. The answer is metabolism. If you eat more and don't exercise, guess what? You'll gain weight and it doesn't matter how much water or fruits and vegetables you ingest. Remember, more in + less out = weight gain.
