I read this to my toddler at night, I found it to be a wonderfully spun tale, added from the original Jack and the Beanstalk story and what actually happened after. It was imaginative and well thought out. It was a worthwhile read if you need something of inetrest to read to your children, because sometimes Cat and the Hat and Spot doesn't cut it. The book had some violence, a little bit of gore, but overall in the end had a good moral. Is a must read if you like Fairytales.

Kind of scary in a gross way. For 5-8th graders.
