My kids are huge fans of the Magic Treehouse Books and so am I. What a great fun way to learn about history, times and places. Even slow readers have a ball with these books! My kids have recommended these to all their friends.

Read this book with my class of 2nd-3rd graders. They loved it, easy to follow along, good historical information. I think it hooked them on reading future "Magic Treehouse" books.
