This is book #2 in the Yellow Rose Trilogy. This is an unusual and adorable Christian romance set in the Old West and remains one of my favorite Lori Wick's!

A Texas Sky delivers the vibrant characters and heartwarming romance that keep 2,000,000 readers burning the midnight oil with each new release.

Injured Texas Ranger Dakota Rawlings returns to work early, but his boss objects and asks him to escort his niece to another town. Darvi and Dakota are attracted to each otherespecially when they realize theyre both believers.

Mistaken for another, Darvi is kidnapped. When an abductor takes a shine to her, he refuses to release her. Unable to imagine how God could rescue her, she is amazed when Dakota appears!

A heartwarming story of two people who learn to trust the Lord and receive the gift of love.

Dakota Rawlings, Texas Ranger, is accustomed to big adventure... but nothing in his work has prepared him for the seemingly easy task of escorting Miss Darvi Wingate to the towm of Stillwater and on to Aurora.

Quick-witted, game for anything, and just as passionate about her newfound faith as Dakota is about his, Darvi seems to find trouble under every rock.

Darvi is eager to see her old friend, Merry, to tell of her new found faith in Christ. Dakota, a Texas Ranger, agrees to see her out to her friends home and then to the train station.
On the way to the train they encounter many obstacles but the biggest is when Darvi is mistaken for a newspaper reporter and is abducted. Even after her abductors realize their mistake, one of them, Seth, decides to keep her and marry her.
I thought this was an excellent book. With Dakota and Darvi both struggling to understand their new faith, they seemed like real people. I definitely would recommend this book, especially if you are a Lori Wick fan.

Book two of the Yellow Rose trilogy about former Texas Rangers who are brothers and find the power of true love through their new found religion. Book 1:"Every Little Thing About You", Book 2: "A Texas Sky", Book 3: "City Girl". Light reading. Entertaining

The second in the Yellow Rose trilogy by author Lori Wick finds Texas Ranger Dakota Rawlings taking on an unusual assignment: escorting childhood pal Darvi Wingate to Stillwater. However, trouble seems to follow her around and they face obstacles that test their newfound faith.

The book does drag in the middle due to a bizarre subplot where Darvi is mistaken for a local investigative reporter (her link to Darvi is a nice twist, though) and is held captive by a man named Seth, who is delusional enough to believe that if he keeps her in his house and treats her sort of nicely, she'll eventually come to love him. His brother Eliot and Cassy, Eliot's girlfriend, also go along with Seth's strange plan.

Their romance is very sweetly done, but when Wick evangelizes through her characters, it's a bit heavy-handed at times. Still, it's a decent read and a nice middle to a good old fashioned romance trilogy.

The second book in a trilogy, that I couldn't put down. The characters were entertaining (even if the bad guys seemed a bit too innocent). Not a challenging read, but interesting non the less.

What a wonderful story line. Who would have thought abduction could lead to romance?

A cute book, but I prefer modern day usually, but it is a good read.

This is a really good story with very interesting characters. I love the hero in this book. He is a true western hero. There is an interesting twist in the story that I wasn't expecting. As with the first book in the trilogy, I enjoy how the author pulls the whole family into the story. Very enjoyable book!

Lori Wick is my favorite Christian author. This book, though not my favorite of hers, is still one that I enjoyed.
