Any Texan worth his spurs will tell you: The Lone Star state is unlike any place else. It's hard to put into words what nature and people have so splendidly created in Texas. However, three words might suffice, Big, Bold, and Beautiful.
Big,simply because it is. More than 267,000 square miles of deserts, mountains, plains, islands, and rivers. There's big cities like Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston where Big Hearted Texans live and work. And the lands encompasses beautiful places like Big Bend National Park, and the Big Thicket National Preseve.
Bold, because it's the one place where folks can be who they are. You can be a rhinestone cowboy with a ten gallon hat and a belt buckle the size of Texas. Or you can be a camera toting tourist on a quest for adventure. No matter, if you are a native or not, Texas is a place where you are sure to get an eyeful. From national treasures like the historic Alamo, Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (NASA), to picturesque parklands like the Guadalupe Mountains, Big Bend National Park and Palo Duro Canyon State Park, there's plenty to see and do.
Ah, to be so beautiful Texas, the land nd people. Texas, it's not so much about being big or being bold, it's a proud feeling to be a part of the special place, if only for a moment.
Beauty is the eye that beholds Texas.
