This is an amazing book. The first part is about how the American culture's reaction to 9/11 belies the extreme sexism of our society. The second part of the book explores parallels that exist between our reactions to terrorism today and our reactions to wars with Native Americans in colonial America, Daniel Boone, etc.

It's a great read, though a bit academic. I really love reading books that show me a different perspective and leave me with more questions than when I began.
