I bought this on a whim when the title and cover caught my attention. It is very interesting. Two of my coworkers saw me reading it and then wanted to borrow it.

There are little bits about all kinds of terrible but true things that happened in North America. Typhoid Mary, The Alamo, Blizzard, a Baby Farm, a Leper colony and so much more. Many of the things I have heard of but there are a large number of the things I had heard little or nothing about before. The book is not gory, it tells about terrible things, but does not go into blood and gore details.
