Poor Jack Liffey is in an LA hospital with a collapsed lung but cannot resist the taking on the case of a Goth child who has gone missing, kidnapped by a mysterious Ninja. Inexplicably, Japanese playing cards are found after distruction of personal things that mean the most to their owners. Jack's own father is one who was attacked.
