I can see from some reviews that I am not the only one who was bored. I listened to this one, for 12 long CDS full of, "he loves me, he loves me not, I hate him, I am over him"
Even the modern day story was pretty dull. "Is he or isn't he?"
Could you skip this one? Maybe, I am not sure if the stuff in the modern story will get revealed in the next book.
This one really doesnt add anything to the whole spys of past plot. There are spies, from France, and some political intrigue, but not enough to give away a big secret into the past spy thing, meaning the French spy isn't a key to anything about the spy history of this family. he was key to the plot, as he was the bad guy.
Overall I really wish I had skipped this one. I am now listening to the next one, and it was much better. So dont give up.
