Classic over the top romance writing. Story of intrigue, true love denied and twins! A couple of likable characters make it a nice read. 2.75 stars.

A twins & mistaken identities premise, thankfully not taken to such extremes as to be unbearable, but there's not much meat to this story. Nice chemistry between the H&H doesn't do much to offset a convoluted and ultimately boring spy plot.

This was such a surprise for me; I didn't realize it was set in the mid 1700's - in France, and not one single mention of the French Revolution!! I found the plot to be intriguing, if not convoluted. The characters were likeable (except the bad guys, of course), especially the heroine - I admire a girl who knows what she wants. But the picture on the front of the book, & the title, have nothing to do with the story! - very puzzling. All in all, I enjoyed it tremendously (I'm getting bored with Regency England & all of its' strictures)
