This is the second book in the "The No.1 Ladies'Detective Agency" series. It is a well written, enjoyable book. If you like mysteries and enjoy reading about different cultures and locations, especially Africa, then you will find this book entertaining. Can't wait to get the next title in the series!

Excellent novel! It was so much better than its predecessor "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency", and I warmed up more to the characters. I think Ramotswe's fiance is so sweet, and the storyline regarding the orphans was very touching. I love this series because the books are so "cozy" and easy to read, and the Botswana culture really gives me warm fuzzies. :) I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Tears of the Giraffe is the 2nd in the Ladies Detective Agency books by Alexander McCall Smith. I enjoyed the continued story of Precious Ramotswe and her detective work in a small town in Botswana. The mixture of events in Percious' personal and professional life, make this book and the series enjoyable to read. I would recommend this fast reading book and look forward to the next in the series.
