Teachers are for Reading Stories - Lift-the-Flap
Author: Harriet Ziefert, Emily Bolam (Illustrator)
Teachers are very special people. They help you learn to count and draw and print your name. Teachers give you juice and cookies when it's snack time, and they even take you on trips to the museum. Children will love lifting the flaps of this bright and cheerful book to see all of the wonderful things that teachers do.

This is a great book to read to incoming young students. It reassuringly lets them see the different roles their teacher will assume during the day, from teaching how to sort and count, print your name, having a tissue if you need it, calling your mommy if you are sick, etc. I used to read it to my class at the end of Open House, which also sent a positive message to parents as well. A fast, easy read with an important message.
