Callow's first two books were very good and well written but this one was disappointment. Over half the book is just descriptions page after page after page and I don't want to know what they are cooking, the recipe they are using or when they stir a pot, etc. Flipped through most of it just to get the main story and skipped past all the unnecessary pages of describing everything under the sun. I didn't like some of the characters much either so this was one book that was a disappointment
