I've been involved and reading tarot cards for over 15 years, I've read countless books, and I recommend taking a pass on this one, if you really want to learn the cards.

I really didn't care for this book at all. It doesn't allow you to build a relationship with the cards, or use intuition, study the symbolism, or anything. It constantly has you pulling a handful of random cards out, and arranging them just so. It has nothing really to do with actual reading of the Tarot, it seems more like an odd system, utilizing cards. It should be titled "Weird System in 10 Minutes" There's little to no basic "Tarot 101" knowledge in here, which is what I expected at the very least.

The one thing that might make this worth the book credit is this: It might give you new ways to look at the cards, once you already know them.

There are WAY better beginner books, out there, if you really want to learn.

This book is ideal for someone with no knowledge of Tarot who wants to be able to read their cards ASAP. As for readers who are interested in really learning about the individual cards, this book isn't quite what you're looking for.

This was a disappointment. I thought I'd like the format, where you work with small spreads and work up to bigger ones, but the if/then interpretations were dry and didn't help me form an intuitive relationship with my deck.

Good quick start, before you go more in-depth, if desired.
