i think this book was pretty good. it definatly will bring joy to many young readers. it is best for ages 8-10 or around there.it is a happybook about a little rich dog that gets washed overboard an island and is confused because he is used to the good life. in pain from being caught in a hertful crab net, he befriends a fox named beau, a orphan girl, and a cat who is slowly drifting from his clan. all of his friends claim that its a miricale that he survived but all he cares about is getting home to his owners. he soon starts to believe that his owners think hes dead and that they wont look for him. so he decieds to go up to the light house and search for the empire state building, the biggest tower in his hometown, Manhatten. i liked the way the animals talk and the way the story was written.
