I love Lynsay Sands' historicals! I know her vamp series has a huge following (and usually cause said historicals to take a back seat) but honestly, it's her historical Romances that make me a fan! They're always fun and funny, and not full of pages and apges of seemingly endless amounts of angst! And 'Taming...' is no different!

The Romance was a sweet one, the mystery carried all the way to the end, and I have to say I loved all the characters! The Main ones were fun to follow along with, and were so cute together! Oh and I was totally surprised by at least one of the villans! Really, the only downside of the book is that it's so so short! I finished it in a few hours, and now am thanking my lucky stars that her next historical comes out next month!

Not as good as the two companions to this story, the whole drinking misunderstanding between the hero and heroine seemed stretched and hard to believe. But, it was still an easy way to escape for a couple of hours.

I don't think I will look at a chicken neck the same way again. It wasn't as funny as some of her other books but still a lot of fun. I think it was a little bit slower than her other books as well.

There are a lot of similarities with the next book in the series but it just had enough differences to keep it interesting. It was a close call though. Sands seems to like the plotline of murder suspects for greed.

I actually haven't read the first book yet and look forward to it. This one was a good, easy read. Don't expect it to change your life but it is amusing.

This book was great too. Very strong female character. It was nice to see some of the minor characters from Book 1 show up and tell their story. Very quick read! Sometimes its nice to just read a light and easy story and this took care of that for me!

Dull, dull, dull. I struggled to finish this one. While I liked our heroine in principle, the story jumped around and I flat out did not care about any of the characters. You really did not get pulled into the emotions of the characters or why our hero and heroine cared about each other at all. This is the end of reading this series for me.

Great book. It flowed easily and the storyline moved well. I got through half of the book without even realizing it. I would however, liked to see a little more connection between the hero and heroine during the beginning of the story. The were together a lot and they did grow, but I didn't really see the chemistry there until their "trip".
Overall, it held my attention well and of course had a happily ever after ending that made the read worth it.

Enjoyable and distracting from life's problems, everything I ask for in a romance.

A typical Scots romance - feisty heroine, braw hero (though English), an arranged marriage, something bedeviling them and many misconceptions. But I enjoyed how it was put together and rather liked said braw man.

Great book & a very easy read. You may find yourself laughing out loud or blushing at times, which only adds to the enjoyment. The main character Merry is likeable and a strong female lead. The end may feel rushed, but it works.
The series is worth reading.
