This was a cute breezy book that was surprisingly spicy. Even though I have read about a zillion books that have the "big city girl moves back to small home town and dates local cop" plot, this came across as fresh and funny, mostly due to the sassy heroine.
I wish that the heroine would have opened up to the hero sooner, and some parts of the "suspense" plot didn't ring true, but the dialog between the hero and heroine felt genuine and "current" and I was able to overlook it.

I usually prefer historical romances, but for Victoria Dahl, I am willing to make an exception. Everything she writes is clever and steamy, and this one is no exception. Caution: Ms. Dahl's liberal use of the "f" word and the "c" word might make some readers squirm with delight and others with disgust.

I don't remember having read this author before but I really enjoyed this book and plan to find more from this author.
I agree with another review about the heroine keeping her secret for too long but I loved the humor and surprisingly hot story anyway. Hoping her buddy Lori (the mechanic) gets a story:)

Hot, Hot, HOT - also funny. I read it in two days - would have been one day, but I had to work.
Molly has a naughty secret - she writes erotic fiction. She returns to tiny Tumble Creek after ten years in the big city and is immediately attracted to her old crush, hunky chief of police Ben Lawson. Ben would NOT be amused to find out what she does for a living, especially when she's been using him for inspiration!

I absolutely LOVED this book. I couldn't put it down. Molly, the main female character, is a RIOT and Ben is funny as all get out when trying to deal with her. This book is full of laughs, love and fun suspense. I am HOOKED on V. Dahls contemporary romance novels now and can NOT wait until the next book comes out....
