Nothing outrageous in this book, I wasn't sure what to expect. As a candidate for president I wanted a better picture of what his thoughts and ideas are and decided to read his book, I'm glad that I did. However, it took me a long time to read it since I had to reconcile myself to pick it up, but it was well written and easy to follow. It was ideas that I was raised on, stuff my grandmother would have told me, good ole common sense and decency.
As a teacher, I can tell you there is a lot in this book that helps define why our schools are not functioning. It's incredibly difficult to engage students and stretch them beyond just the basics when there is no purpose for them being in class and no support system when you call home.
