I was in a slump, having started and stopped two novels from disinterest, and finding nothing was holding my attention. I decided to go back to a series I liked and picked up Taken. Elvis and his crew did not disappoint. The bad guys had kidnapped illegals to hold them for ransom and in the process had grabbed a girl and her boyfriend. Her mom hired Elvis Cole and he goes on the job. He tracked the bandits down and with the help of Pike and another tough guy sidekick of Coles, the world gets set right again. Ending happy and the good guys win - as it should be.
