When I spend time and money on a series of books, I expect some character development, personal growth, a resolution of some crisis and then the characters move on to another problem. The most growth I saw in this book is that Stephanie has changed to a messenger handbag!
We are still wondering about Joe vs. Ranger and this is the 20th book with this love triangle. This is beyond ridiculous. The only good thing Ive heard lately is that Evanovich was interviewed and stated that she only owed 1 more book to this publisher.
Each of these (main AND secondary) characters has moved into the realm of a cartoon. I felt the addition of the giraffe to the mix was just padding a feeble story. Evanovich had the gall to enumerate all of the items sold in the hardware store; just how blatant can padding a story be?
Im pleased about the fact that I got the book-on-tape version of this book at the library. Thus, I didnt waste money supporting a series that has outlived its shelf-life. 1 star
